❧ Author ~ Erik
Erik is our resident author, and he's written for The Trek, Mountain Biking Magazine, National Geographic Explorer, Canoe and Kayak, and a half-dozen other publications. His passion for education has been honored with the State University of New York's Merit Award for Teaching, awarded three times, and their Outstanding Instructor of the Year Award. He's currently writing his next book inside a heavily-fortified compound in Colorado.
❧ Manuscript Assistant – Sally
Sally's career as a manuscript assistant took off after she ran into her first opportunity in the Adirondacks. She's serious-minded about the telling of history. Sally's own historical writings revolve around unearthing the forgotten, especially women, and celebrating their lives. If you're looking for an astute reader for your historical manuscript, get in touch with Sally via our contact page.
❧ Graphic Designer ~ Jeanne
Jeanne's visual solutions – whether producing, editing, and scheduling promotional print material or publicity via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube postings; Mailchimp e-newsletters; website updates; or advertising, signage, and event photography – can offer you the scope and knowledge you need to get your project done. Get in touch with Jeanne via our contact page if you're seeking a top-notch graphic designer.
❧ Typesetter ~ Terry
Terry has always loved books: reading them, writing them, browsing through them in a library or bookstore. She was thrilled, therefore, when twenty years ago the opportunity to learn how to make them presented itself. She's done layout for a number of university presses – UPNE, Wesleyan, Kansas, and SUNY among them – as well as a few private clients. If you'd like to discuss how your own book might look, send Terry a note via our contact page.
❧ Proofreaders
OOur eight-person proofreading team – (L to R) Revlon, Pony, KGB, Contact, Air Guitar, Seatbelt, Pepperidge Farm, and Little Adam – ensures no grammatical oversights make it to print. Our members have diverse backgrounds, having been involved in the criminal justice, cosmetology, and body art fields for years. We anticipate a short-term team member position opening soon since Seatbelt was recently in a debilitating speed-reading accident.
